  4. Are you the same Joe Baker, who also teaches dancing?

    1. Yes. I got into Country-Western dancing in the early 1990's. A friend pushed me into competing. I traveled from event to event competing in two step, country waltz, polka, etc. It was a blast. Now I love pickleball.

  6. Mr. Baker,
I am a fan of your books and videos.
I've wondered if there is any advantage to serving first. Have you ever looked at winning percentages of teams that serve first?

  9. Hey Joe, you remind me of my "shop teacher" I had in Jr High School (I'm 64) and with their great advice I have never electrocuted, lost a finger and could figure out most home repair projects for the past 35 years! I was a highly ranked amateur racquetball player for decades and started playing Pickleball a few years ago when I could no longer play a "real sport"! I picked up the game pretty fast, but refused to do anything besides kill the ball for the first couple years. That strategy worked great up until the 4.0 division, but once I started playing 4.0 I needed to implement a soft game. Your videos has helped a lot and I watch your videos over and over agin since I'm old and stubborn fart, so repetition is required to make me change! THANKS!
